Global LVL is a private company created in 2009 by local investors to acquire and restart the LVL (laminated veneer lumber) plant located in Ville-Marie, Quebec (Canada) which was closed in 2008.

Global LVL acquired the Ville-Marie LVL plant in July 2010 with the participation of a few financial partners. Global LVL restarted the LVL plant in November 2010 with many of the employees who worked at the plant since its construction in 1975 and more particularly since its modernization in 1991 to manufacture LVL components.

Global LVL currently manufactures components mainly used to fabricate beams, headers and columns. Global LVL intends to add within the next two to three years a few products to its product line in order to offer a complete solution to its customers for any construction project.

Global LVL mainly serves the provinces of Ontario and Quebec in Canada and the states located in Centre-North, Mid-Atlantic and North-East in United States.

Global LVL manufactures LVL components from aspen only or from a mix of aspen and birch. Global LVL products are appreciated for their low weight and their high mechanical resistance.

Global LVL currently offers products certified by the APA (Engineered Wood Association) in United States and by the CCMC (Canadian Construction Materials Centre) in Canada.

These products are cut to typical dimensions used within the construction industry. Components of specific dimensions are also available for particular applications.
